For many years, MJBL held an end of the season breakfast to hand out trophies and conduct the ballot and voting process for the election of new MJBL Board Members. The past couple of seasons, we have seen a significant decrease in attendance to the end of season breakfast as teams seem to prefer to have their own end of the season celebration, cookout, etc. to hand out their trophies. This preference is absolutely fine, however, it does present a difficult situation with regards to the voting process for new Board Members. Ballots were completed, collected and counted at the end of the season event. So, in order to keep this vital voting process in tack, we will be conducting the ballot process on Picture Day in 2011. We feel this is a viable solution and alternative to Opening Day when there are so many other activities going on. The new Board Members term will begin with the conclusion of the spring season.
